Mechanical Handling
We serve all major base material and
supply industries in the United Kingdom. These include the mining,
quarrying, chemical, steel making, sugar and cement industries, and our
experience has led us into the successful bulk handling of coal, coke, iron ore,
sinter and pellets, cement clinker, hard rock, limestone, sand lime, phosphates,
fertilisers, sugar and vegetable products.
We have also achieved considerable
expertise and an excellent reputation within the industry, for the turnkey
design of plants tailored to suit particular site conditions and design
parameters, for stocking, loading, crushing and screening, reclaiming (open or
covered, linear or radial stockpiles) rapid wagon loading and discharging,
boiler feed, bunkerage, metering and loading.
Process Plants
From
our modest beginnings in the coal industry we have become a leading designer and
constructor of coal preparation plants within the U.K. having constructed plants
of up to 1000 t/h for British Coal and the subsequent privatised companies.
We also design and produce process plants for the U.K. potash industry and have
been involved in a large number of tailings and effluent treatment plants for
the recovery of water and silts from mineral processing circuits.
Machines
To
complement and augment our plant designing and building capabilities we also
manufacture a wide range of mineral dewatering centrifuges and a comprehensive
range of specialist screens for the sizing and/or dewatering of bulk minerals.
Our screens are of robust design enabling them to treat large volumes of
minerals and liquids and provide long term trouble-free operation. They
are particularly appreciated where high capacity plants require continuous
operation to maximise returns.
Being
heavily involved in the bulk handling of minerals we also offer a range of
standard vibratory feeders and specialist plate and belt feeders specifically to
meet the arduous duties often experienced by our clients.
Malting Plants and Equipment
As a natural progression
of
Don Valley’s
activities in the supply of process plant, the Malting Division
of Qualter Hall (formerly Redler Maltings) was
acquired in 1998.
All
technical and intellectual properties were transferred in the acquisition which
has put Don Valley in a position to supply state of art malting plant and
equipment to the industry.
With
Don Valley’s experience in the handling of bulk materials and managing large
design and build projects, the company is now in a position to offer customers
cost effective and technically credible solutions to their requirements.
We can offer design and supply of
equipment for all elements of the process from
barley intake and screening through steeping, germination, kilning to malt
storage and outloading.
