Resonance screens are particularly useful in large and heavy screening installations of high capacity and output. They operate at high intensity and the field of application ranges from large size screening to the screening of fines. Simple, rugged construction is a feature of Don Valley Resonance Screens which, combined with the large cross sectional area of the rubber parts, ensures long life, the working characteristics being capable of adjustment to provide the maximum screening efficiency for any given product. Two or more screen frames can be assembled in line to operate as one complete unit.

Operation
The principal of operation of Don Valley Resonance Screens is the interaction between two or more oscillating masses through resilient couplings of special design and material. The drive unit is elastically connected to the screen tray, and requires very little power to bring the tray into full oscillation even when starting up under load other than required to overcome friction losses.

Construction
Don Valley Resonance Screens consist of a screen tray resiliently mounted on a weighted balancing frame through the medium of rubber drive buffers and resilient elastic laths. The direct weight of the tray is carried on support buffers fitted with tensioning devices. The drive is through a totally enclosed roller bearing mounted eccentric having an adjustable elastically coupled connecting rod attached to a fabricated bracket fixed to the tray, with the driving shaft supported in roller bearing plummer blocks mounted on the base frame, and having a grooved pulley for vee rope drive. The base frame is suitably weighted to reduce its movement to a minimum, and is mounted on resilient rubber foundation buffers to prevent the transmission of vibrations into the supporting structure. Don Valley Resonance Screens can be supplied with open type or cross braced screening trays as preferred.

Applications

All plant and machinery is designed and installed to meet customer’s individual requirements and special conditions. Proven construction groups are integrated into complete systems.

Complete installations from Don Valley provide the complete answer to any problem in the form of the best process. At Don Valley, planning and supply, together with follow up service, are considered to be of great importance.

Every effort is made to understand the particular problems of a client, and to provide a solution that will incorporate maximum utilisation and economy.

All enquiries are carefully studied, and recommendations proposed are based upon considerable knowledge and expertise in problems of mechanical handling.

Don Valley Resonance Screens use the established principles of resonance screening as developed throughout many years of experience.

Rinsing Facilities

In certain screening applications the provision of rinsing facilities in the form of water sprays proves to be extremely advantageous.

In preventing the blinding up of screen apertures when screening fine damp materials.

To remove contaminants such as clays.

To effect recovery into the dense medium circuit of materials such as magnetite, the loss of which is both costly, and a contaminant to the product.
