We are looking for two experienced Mechanical Fitters to join our team to assemble, install, maintain and repair various mechanical components to create functioning equipment.  

The successful candidates will need to display the desire, drive, and determination to perform as part of a team.  You will be given responsibility requiring you to organise your workload and be proactive.  This is an excellent opportunity to gain exceptional experience.

Main activities & responsibilities:

  • Construct and assemble mechanical equipment using components bought in and made in-house
  • Carry out maintenance activities on mechanical equipment both in the Workshop and on customer sites
  • Work in a safe manner following Company and customer health, safety and quality procedures

 

Qualifications/Experience/Skills:

  • Time-served apprenticeship or equivalent experience
  • 1 – 3 years’ experience
  • Ability to work in a small, cross-functional team in a fast-paced environment
  • Takes pride in their work and adopts a positive attitude to work
  • Excellent communication skills and time management skills
  • Willingness to learn
  • Competent in bench fitting techniques
  • Competent in the use of hand tools e.g. impact wrenches and grinders
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings
  • Ability to organise and prioritise workload, and able to work to assembly procedures
