A great opportunity has arrived to join a growing vibrant company as we are looking to appoint a Quality-focused Technician.

In this vital role, there is an initial focus on quality and compliance, you will be required to work closely with and provide education and training to department heads and managers, so they are fully aware of and understand our quality management system and how to fully integrate it into project requirements, however going forward you’ll be responsible for upholding and enhancing quality standards, This role demands a proactive approach to quality assurance and an ability for fostering a culture of excellence and compliance with standards.

Working with the QHSE Manager you will assist with the following

  • Maintenance of Don Valley Engineering ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System, monitoring working practices and compliance with company processes and procedures.
  • Take lead on new supplier/sub-contractor onboarding pre-qualification Quality review and approval.
  • Take the lead on resolving any supplier ‘quality-related matters and non-conformance issues.
  • Work with relevant DVE Managers to ensure the requirements of the DVE Quality Programme/ Plan (ITPs/FAT) and Contract Review are conducted by the relevant stakeholders/responsible person.
  • Work with relevant DVE Managers to ensure all outputs/deliverables meet specified requirements through certification and/or verification of inputs, processes, and outputs.
  • Ensure that all non-conformances are formally recorded and investigated to establish root cause in order to prevent reoccurrence. Ensure containment measures, corrective and preventive actions are implemented, and their effectiveness evaluated.
  • Take the lead on the reporting, investigation and resolving of any client/customer complaints.
  • Prepare and produce monthly quality performance reports for management review using established templates and data. Report on business Quality performance to the leadership team and statutory authorities as/when required.
  • To maintain the internal audits system ensuring that internal audits are planned, conducted, reported and that all resulting non-conformances are closed in a timely and effective manner.
  • Take lead on equipment calibration both internally and externally including pre-calibration preparation and post-calibration documentation. Maintaining registers and calibration records.
  • Quality general office administration, including but not limited to, updating information required for external accreditations e.g. Alcumus Safecontractor, Avetta, Achilles, processing of 
  • Identify performance trends and opportunities for improvement following data review and analysis.
  • To Identify and report on Quality measures and KPI’s across the business

Essential Requirements for Quality Technician

  • Good level of computer literacy, proficient in Microsoft Office data handling and analysis
  • Willingness to learn with a keen interest to pursue a career in Quality Management.
  • Good communication skills with confidence in liaising with staff from other areas of the business during investigations, audits and inspections.
  • Effective time management skills.
  • Takes pride in their work and adopts a positive attitude to work.
  • Ability to work in a small, cross-functional team in a fast-paced environment
