Don Valley Engineering, a well-established company enjoying a reputation of one of this country’s leading suppliers of malting’s plant and equipment, bulk materials handling systems, process equipment and plants, are seeking the following: –
SPARES CONTROLLER
The successful applicant will work in a small team liaising with various departments within the Company. Duties would include preparing sales proposals; procurement; organising packing and dispatch of goods both in the UK and overseas; preparation of necessary paperwork for export. The ideal candidate should be computer literate, commercially aware and ideally from a mechanical engineering background.
PROJECT DRAUGHTSPERSON
The successful applicant will report to the Project Manager, and will be expected to work on all aspects of contract or project engineering associated with the Company’s activities, and will liaise with all other departments. Duties will include, but not be limited to, all aspects of the layout, manufacture, costing, quoting, construction, delivery and commissioning of the various contracts. Good Autocad skills are also an essential requirement for this position.
DRAUGHTSPERSON
The successful applicant will work with our experienced Project Engineers, Project Managers and machine builders in all fields of mechanical handling plant and equipment design. Good Autocad draughting skills together with a sound engineering background are a pre-requisite for this diverse and interesting position.
TRAINEE DRAUGHTSPERSON
The suitable candidate will require a minimum of 5 GCSE’s at grade C or better which should include Maths, English and Physics or Chemistry, and they should be fully computer literate. They will receive in-house training in engineering and electronic draughting techniques and will also attend college on a day release basis to study BTEC National Certificate in Mechanical and Production engineering.
MEHANICAL FITTER
The successful applicant will join our fitting staff responsible for the building, commissioning and servicing of our machines, which are predominately for the mining, quarrying and malting’s industries. As a lot of our work involves servicing our equipment on sites around the country, the ideal candidate will need to have a full driving licence, be willing to work weekends, and occasionally stay away from home when working at the more distant sites.
